being a tourist II

Banff

The Mekka of the tourists!
A really nice mountain city and I think a must-have-been.
So drove the 2hours out to Banff on a sunday and actually the ride was it worth to get there. Canadas landscape is amazing ...
And to have a special memory of Banff I booked a 3hrs horse trail.

1st impression from the horseback

and because with my knee injury from the day before I couldn´t visite the Banff Hot Springs!!!!! I was very very sad about that! so I spent the rest of the day on the river!

Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel- be part of the legend!

Instead of taking the Gondola to get on top of the Sulphur mountain, I decided to make a nice hike and use my two feet to get up there... even a good workout for my lazy butt.

amazing?!

on top of the mountain!

Back down in Banff I had two more hours left before I wanted to drive home, so I had a short walk around and enjoyed the very cold water!

I think they colour the water!

During the two months I have been in Calgary I worked for the biggest Slopitch organisation in Canada the NSA.
Stephanie and Christine were my workingmates and became my family!
And because its not just Cowboy-country... its Slopitch-country also,
So one saturday Christine and I helped Steph team out playing ball and guess, we had a lot of fun... and some blood!

Being a tourist

Drumheller
Dinosaur Town

From time to time I need to be a tourist and one of the locations you have to have seen here is the
 Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller.
Why is it so special? The aera where the Museum is situated has a lot of dinosaur scelettons. The fact that they found the one of the best T-Rex scelettons ever in this valley makes the Museum worth to visit.
Its one of the biggest dinosaur Museums and is one of the leading centers of palaeontological research.

Just a 20min drive far from the Royal Tyrrell Museum youll find a other tourist attraction.
The Hoodoos!

So I packed my stuff for a day trip and was on my way to Drumheller.

I love Jurassic Park!

Sunset in Calgary

Well my camera and I are married and this one evening I was driving home from work and saw the skyline in the sunset- amazing!
I loved it!
But it cost me a couple of moskito bits to get the pictures-
I think they are it worth!
